At Shine It Clean ("Shine It Clean," "we," "us," or "our"), we are dedicated to making our website www.shineitclean.com (the "Site"), mobile application (the "App"), and cleaning services accessible to everyone, including individuals with disabilities. As a leading provider of residential and commercial cleaning services across India, we believe accessibility is a fundamental right and essential for inclusivity.

We are committed to complying with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 ("RPWD Act"), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and relevant guidelines from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). Our efforts align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards, ensuring our digital platforms are perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
 

Our Commitment to Accessibility

• Inclusive Design: We design and develop the Site and App with accessibility in mind from the outset. This includes features like keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver), high-contrast modes, and resizable text up to 200% without loss of functionality.

• Services Accessibility: For our on-demand and scheduled cleaning services, we train Service Providers on accommodating diverse needs, such as mobility aids, service animals, or low-allergen cleaning. Customers can specify accessibility requirements during booking (e.g., wheelchair-accessible entry points or quiet service times).

• Testing and Evaluation: We conduct regular accessibility audits using automated tools (e.g., WAVE, axe) and manual testing with assistive technologies. User feedback from diverse groups, including those with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments, informs our improvements.

• Ongoing Improvements: Accessibility is an evolving priority. We allocate resources annually for enhancements and monitor compliance through third-party assessments.

• Perceivable: Alt text for all images, captions for any video content (e.g., service demos), and structured headings for easy navigation.

• Operable: Skip-to-main-content links, focus indicators for interactive elements, and compatibility with touchscreens and voice commands.

• Understandable: Clear, simple language in Hindi and English, with readable fonts (e.g., sans-serif) and consistent navigation.

• Robust: Semantic HTML, ARIA labels for dynamic content (e.g., booking forms), and support for major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on desktop and mobile.
   

Known Limitations and Workarounds

While we strive for full compliance, some areas may have temporary limitations as we iterate:

• Third-Party Integrations: Payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay) and mapping tools (e.g., Google Maps) are monitored, but occasional issues may arise. Workaround: Use alternative payment methods or contact support for assistance.

• App Features: Live chat may not fully support screen readers in beta. Workaround: Use email or phone support.

• Legacy Content: Older blog posts may lack full alt text. We are retrofitting these progressively.
